Rohit John Chettri returns to the stage after four years

Nepali singer-songwriter Rohit John Chettri will perform live at Moksh Jhamsikhel on September 14, returning to the stage after nearly four years. The concert, titled ‘Mitho Yaad: Echoes of Return’, celebrates Chettri’s 11 years in the Nepali music industry and the release of his fourth studio album, ‘Mitho Yaad’.
Chettri first gained popularity with his hit song ‘Bistarai Bistarai’ in 2013. Since then, he has released several albums, including ‘Bistarai’ in 2015, ‘Jhari Pachiko Indreni’ in 2018, and ‘Bidaai’ in 2020.
In addition to his solo career, Chettri was a member of the rock band 1974 AD from 2014 to 2019, contributing to their album ‘Hazar Sapana’ and being a part of international tours.
His latest album, ‘Mitho Yaad’, was released in August 2024 and features a title track.
The performance will include musicians Abhisek Bhadra on keys and synth, Rajat Rai on bass and backing vocals, Vivek Lama on drums and backing vocals, and Semil Lama on electric guitar and backing vocals. Abisek Pun will handle sound engineering.
The event is organised by Kgarira and presented by Ruslan Studio, with support from Ruslan & Budweiser.
