The Meteorological Forecasting Division has stated that the hilly and mountainous regions of Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki, and Lumbini provinces, as well as the hilly areas of Karnali and Sudurpashchim provinces, will be generally cloudy today. 

Other areas will experience partly cloudy conditions. There is a possibility of light rain or snowfall accompanied by thunder and lightning at one or two places in the hilly and mountainous regions. Fog may occur in some Tarai areas during the morning.

Tonight, skies are expected to remain generally cloudy in the same hilly and mountainous regions. Other areas will have partly cloudy skies. Light rain or snowfall with thunder and lightning may occur at one or two places in the hilly and mountainous regions of Koshi, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces. Haze is expected in a few Tarai areas.

Currently, a high-pressure system is partially influencing the upper atmosphere over Nepal, while a low-pressure area is present in the lower atmosphere near the eastern region of the country.
