The Meteorological Forecasting Division has said that the country is experiencing the partial influence of westerly winds and a western low-pressure system. Sudurpaschim and Karnali provinces are expected to have partly to generally cloudy weather.

The rest of the country will see partly cloudy to mostly clear skies, though some areas in the Tarai may experience fog and mist.

Light snowfall is possible in a few places in the high-altitude and Himalayan regions of Koshi, Gandaki, Karnali, and Sudurpaschim provinces, with one or two locations in Bagmati’s highlands also likely to witness snowfall.

The division has urged caution as morning fog in some Tarai areas may affect daily life, health, and transportation, including road and air travel.
