The Meteorological Forecasting Division has said that the country is experiencing the partial impact of a westerly disturbance and westerly winds.

According to the division’s morning bulletin, Koshi province and the country’s hilly regions will see partly to generally cloudy conditions, while the rest of the country will have clear to partly cloudy weather. Some areas in the Tarai are covered in fog and mist.

Light snowfall is expected in a few places in the high-altitude and mountainous regions of Koshi, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces. A few areas in the highlands of Koshi, Gandaki, Karnali, and Sudurpaschim, as well as some locations in the high-altitude parts of Bagmati, may also experience light snowfall.

The division has urged the public to take precautions as fog and mist in some Tarai areas could affect daily life, health, road, and air transport.
