The Meteorological Forecasting Division has said that the country is currently experiencing a partial influence of a westerly low-pressure system. While the hilly regions of Koshi, Gandaki, and Karnali provinces have partly cloudy conditions, the rest of the country remains mostly clear. Some areas of the central and eastern Tarai are covered in fog.

During the day, Koshi’s hilly areas will see partly to generally cloudy skies, while Bagmati, Gandaki, and Karnali’s hilly regions will remain partly cloudy. Light snowfall is expected at one or two places in the high hills and mountainous areas of Koshi and Gandaki.

At night, hilly areas of Koshi, Gandaki, and Karnali will have partly cloudy conditions, with clear weather elsewhere. Light snowfall is also possible in a few locations in the high hills and mountains of these provinces.

The Division has forecast light snowfall at one or two locations in the high hills and mountains of Koshi, Gandaki, and Karnali over the next 24 hours. It has also warned of foggy conditions in parts of the Tarai on Thursday morning, advising caution as it may affect daily life, health, road transport, and aviation.
