The Meteorological Forecasting Division has reported a partial impact of westerly winds and a western low-pressure system over Nepal.

Currently, the weather is partly to generally cloudy in Sudurpaschim, Karnali, and Lumbini provinces, while the rest of the country is experiencing partly cloudy to mainly clear skies. Kathmandu Valley is under partial cloud cover.

During the day, light to moderate rainfall is likely in many areas of Sudurpaschim and Karnali provinces, as well as some hilly parts of Koshi Province. Other regions may see light rainfall in isolated areas. Higher elevations in the hilly and Himalayan regions could experience light to moderate snowfall.

Tonight, Sudurpaschim and Karnali provinces are expected to remain generally cloudy, while the rest of the country will see partly to generally cloudy skies. Rainfall is forecast in several areas of Sudurpaschim, some parts of Karnali and Koshi provinces, and isolated areas in other regions.

Snowfall is likely in higher elevations of Sudurpaschim, Karnali, and Koshi provinces, along with a few places in Gandaki and Bagmati provinces.
