The Meteorological Forecasting Division has forecast the weather on Saturday to be generally to mostly cloudy throughout the country.
Light to moderate rain with thunder and lightning is likely to continue in many places of Koshi, Madesh, Bagmati, Gandaki, Lumbini Karnali Province and some places of the rest of the country .
Chances of heavy rainfall is forecast at some places of the Bagmati, Gandaki and Lumbini Province and at a few places of the rest of the country.
Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki and Lumbini Province are likely to experience very heavy to extremely heavy rainfall at a few places.
Tonight the weather is forecast to be generally to mostly cloudy throughout the country.
Light to moderate rain with thunder, lightning and gusty wind is likely to continue at many places of Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki and Lumbini Province and at some places of the rest of the provinces.
Bagmati, Gandaki and Lumbini Province as well as a few places of the rest of the country are likely to experience heavy to very heavy rainfall.
With NDDRMA issuing high-risk of monsoon-related hazards from Thursday to Sunday relentless rain has crippled life nationwide and obstructed major highways with landslides, floods and mudslides.
On Friday, Dhangadi recorded the highest maximum temperature at 27.5°C, while Jomsom experienced the lowest minimum temperature at 12.5°C. Biratnagar registered the highest rainfall at 170.0 mm, followed by Bhairahawa at 140.7 mm and Simara at 122.1 mm. Kathmandu experienced the highest temperature of 19°C and lowest at 17.5°C with 97.0 mm of rainfall in the past 24 hours.
