The Meteorological Forecasting Division has forecast the weather to be generally to mostly cloudy throughout the country on Friday.
Light to moderate rain with thunder, lightning and gusty wind is likely to continue at many places of Koshi, Madesh, Bagmati, Gandaki and Lumbini Province and at some places of the rest of the province.
There is a chance of heavy rainfall at some places of the Koshi, Madesh, Bagmati, Gandaki and Lumbini Provinces and at a few places of Karnali and Sudur Pashchim Province.
Tonight the weather is forecast to be generally to mostly cloudy throughout the country.
Light to moderate rain with thunder, lightning and gusty wind is likely to continue at many places of Bagmati, Gandaki, Lumbini and Sudur Pashchim Province and at some places of the rest of the provinces.
Bagmati, Gandaki and Lumbini Province as well as a few places of the rest of the country are likely to experience heavy to very heavy rainfall.
With the high-alert warning for heavy to extreme rainfall across all seven provinces, NDRRMA has requested to take precautionary steps including travel restrictions like halting the night bus services in high-risk hilly and mountainous districts on September 27 and 28.
On Thursday, Dhangadi recorded the highest maximum temperature at 33.8°C, while Okhaldhunga experienced the lowest minimum temperature at 19.5°C. Biratnagar registered the highest rainfall at 61.4 mm, followed by Dhankuta with 38.1 mm and Dipayal with 35.5 mm
