The weather across the country on Sunday is expected to remain partly to generally cloudy, with chances of light to moderate rainfall accompanied by thunder and lightning in multiple provinces, according to the Meteorological Forecasting Division.

Koshi Province, Lumbini Province, Karnali Province, and Sudurpaschim Province are likely to experience rainfall in several areas, while some locations in Madhesh, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces could see rain as well. Heavy rainfall is forecast in one or two places in Koshi, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces.

The weather tonight is expected to remain partly to generally cloudy, with light to moderate rainfall in Koshi Province and scattered rainfall across other provinces.

The Meteorological Forecasting Division said the monsoon trough is currently situated south of its average position.

On Saturday, Janakpur recorded the highest temperature at 38.2°C, while Jomsom saw the lowest minimum temperature at 13°C. Ghorahi recorded the highest rainfall at 26.4 mm over the past 24 hours.
