On Tuesday, the weather will be generally cloudy across the country, with light to moderate rain accompanied by thunder and lightning expected in many areas of all provinces.
The Meteorological Forecasting Division said there is a possibility of heavy rainfall at one or two locations in the Koshi, Madhesh, Bagmati, Gandaki, Lumbini, and Sudurpaschim provinces.
Additionally, heavy to very heavy rainfall may occur at one or two spots in Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki, and Lumbini provinces.
Tonight, cloudy conditions will persist nationwide, with light to moderate rain and thunderstorms anticipated in many areas across all provinces.
Heavy to very heavy rainfall may affect a few locations in the remaining provinces, while very heavy to extremely heavy rainfall is possible at one or two sites in Bagmati, Gandaki, and Lumbini provinces.
Meteorological analysis indicates that monsoon winds are affecting the country, with the monsoon trough positioned to the north of the average location.
On Tuesday, the highest temperature recorded was 38.4 degrees Celsius in Janakpur, while the lowest temperature was 15 degrees Celsius in Jomsom.
In terms of rainfall, Ghorahi received the highest amount at 53.6 mm, followed by Dadeldhura with 30.1 mm. Other notable rainfall figures include Pokhara with 10.3 mm and Jiri with 8.6 mm. Some areas, such as Dipayal, Birendranagar, and Simara, reported no rainfall during this period.
