The weather is forecast to be partly to generally cloudy throughout the country on Sunday.

Light to moderate rain with thunder and lightning is likely to occur in some places of Gandaki, Koshi and Bagmati provinces the Meteorological Forecasting Division said. In Madhesh and the rest of the country, similar conditions may occur in one or two places.

Tonight, partly to generally cloudy weather is expected at Koshi, Madhesh, Bagmati and Gandaki provinces with chances of light to moderate rain with thunder and lightning in Madhesh, Koshi and high hilly regions of Bagmati and Gandaki provinces.

Dhangadi experienced the hottest day in the country with temperatures rising to 42.7 degrees Celsius while Jomsom recorded a minimum temperature of 12.0 degrees Celsius. 

Meanwhile, Kathmandu’s temperature rose to a maximum of 35.3 degrees Celsius on Saturday.
