Kathmandu Metropolitan City has issued helpline numbers for residents in risky areas and those facing difficulties.
In a social media post on Saturday, the metropolis asked people in trouble to contact the helpline immediately. Officials have been deployed to monitor vulnerable locations.
According to the metropolis, preparations are underway to relocate residents at risk of inundation to nearby safe schools. The city has urged people in flood-prone areas to remain alert.
