Kathmandu
Two youths died after their scooter collided at high speed with a parked bus near an overhead bridge in Jadibuti, ward 32 of Kathmandu Metropolitan City, on Friday morning.
The victims, 23-year-old Nitesh Nepal of Kavre and 22-year-old Shirish Paudel of Nawalparasi West, were critically injured and died while receiving treatment, police said.
The bus, parked along the roadside, was driven by Subash Tamang of Dolakha. Tamang has been taken into police custody, and legal action is underway.
Police said the investigation is ongoing to determine the exact circumstances of the crash.
