One killed, seven injured as brake of loaded truck fails causing accident

One person was killed and seven others injured in a truck accident at Dhungeadda in Chandragiri Municipality ward 15, Kathmandu, on Friday evening.
The accident happened when the brakes of the truck loaded with goods and en route to Kalanki from Thankot failed.
“A man, around 30-year-old, who was from Okhaldhunga district, died in the incident,” said Inspector Purushottam Karki of Metropolitan Traffic Police. “Of the seven injured, three are in a critical condition.”
A taxi, a van, a bus, a scooter and two motorcycles were damaged by the collision with the truck, which was later removed from the incident site using a crane, according to the police.
