Two workers died and another one injured while working in an under-construction building of Bir Hospital in Kathmandu on Thursday.
Bhumi Kumar Chaudhary, 20, and Nabin Chaudhary, 25, of Saptari district died when a construction elevator they were on board fell down after the cable snapped.
“The duo died when the cable supporting the lift broke. However, it is being investigated if the cable broke due to tension or someone intentionally did it,” spokesperson at Metropolitan Police Range Kathmandu SSP Pooja Singh told the Post.
“The bodies have been sent to Tribhuvan University Teaching Hospital in Maharajgunj for post mortem.”
Chapin Chaudhary, 25, of Saptari has been severely injured and is undergoing treatment at the National Trauma Centre.
