The government on Thursday appointed Dr Pushpa Chaudhary as the secretary at Ministry of Health.
Health Minister Dipak Bohora informed Chaudhary was appointed to the post by a Cabinet meeting on Thursday. Chaudhary was acting secretary at the ministry following retirement of her predecessor Dr Kiran Regmi.
Dr Binod Man Shrestha and Dr Sushilnath Pyakurel were also in the fray for the post.
Chaudhay had previously worked as Director General of Department of Health Services, Director of Paropakar Maternity Hospital, Thapathali, and Director of Family Health Division of Department of Health Services.
