Metropolitan Police Crime Division arrested two persons with demonitised Rs 500 and Rs 1000 Indian currency notes from Annapurna Chowk area in Kathmandu Metropolitan City-15.
Police arrested Krishna Kumari Sharma of Banke and Arjun Bhandari of Gorkha with the demonitised notes. Police said they have confiscated notes worth Rs 6.82 million.
Police said they were informed about possible fraud that led to the arrest of the two. Police has initiated investigation into the matter.
