A person was killed and another injured in a collision involving a motorbike and a bus at Ghathaghar of Madhyapur Thimi municipality on Saturday.

17–year–old bike rider, Ashim Shrestha, of Bangalamukhi of Lalitpur died in course of treatment following the accident while pillion rider, Iku Joshi, was seriously injured. She is undergoing treatment at the B & B Hospital, Gwarko.

The bus driver Ram Kumar Mahat is under custody at the Metropolitan Police Circle Thimi, said Sub Inspector Bikal Bhattarai of Metropolitan Traffic Police Division (MTPD).

The bus (Ba 4 Kha 1991) en route to Kathmandu from Bhaktapur had collided with the bike (Ba 85 Pa 9928) heading towards Bhaktapur at Ghathaghar intersection along the Araniko highway. RSS
