CPN (Maoist Center) has said the failure to amend the constitution will not stop the third phase of local level election on September 18 in province 2.
Party Spokesperson Pampha Bhusal said they would continue their talks with all parties to seek consensus on amendment. "Constitution will be amended only after the required majority is garnered. This won't hamper third phase polls," said Bhusal.
Some of the leaders in the party are suggesting to hold third phase election only after forging frge consensus with Madhes-based parties. Bhusal said the party's secretariat meeting will discuss this idea.
