Only status-quoist forces are against elections: PM Dahal

Speaking in a cadre training programme of the CPN (Maoist Centre) at party central office in Paris Dada, Kathmandu on Tuesday, Dahal stressed on the need to make the elections successful for the implementation of the new constitution and institutionalisation of the changes achieved so far.
PM Dahal further said the agendas raised by Maoists since the days of people’s war such as federalism, republic, democracy, inclusion, proportional representation, and secularism have been institutionalised through the new constitution and the elections were indispensable to lay the foundation of federalism in the country. He added the key responsibility of the nation for now is to make the local level elections successful and the conduction of elections will be the victory of CPN (Maoist Centre).
PM Dahal went on to claim that the political achievements made so far were the yields of Maoist’s agendas.
Underlining the achievements of the current government, PM Dahal said that his government has become successful in eliminating the load-shedding, taking initiatives for speedy completion of bigger projects, initiating the construction of postal highway and fast track, maintaining harmony with foreign countries and obtaining the highest economic growth in 24 years.
He stressed on the need for unity of pro-Maoist forces and claimed that CPN (Maoist Centre) has been able to prove itself as a nationalist and people-oriented party.
