Advocate Daksya Bahadur Khatri filed the petition at the apex court claiming that commissioners Deep Basnyat, Nabin Kumar Ghimire, Ganesh Raj Joshi and Sabitri Thapa Gurung “do not possess the required qualification for holding the posts”
Basnyat is currently heading the anti-graft body as Lok Man Singh Karki remains suspended as the CIAA chief after an impeachment motion against him was filed on October 19.
The petitioner has also demanded that the four commissioners in questions be removed.
The advocate in his petition, however, has not mentioned Raj Narayan Pathak, also a CIAA commissioner who is considered to be close to Karki.
A case challenging Karki’s qualification for holding the post of CIAA chief is also in the apex court.
