Korea-Nepal hospital brings cardiology unit into operation

The Ministry of Federal Affairs and Local Development has granted Rs 3million and Madhyapur Municipality contributed Rs 1.8 million for the hospital.
It was established in 1999 under the name of Kyung Hee Nepal Health Care Center with the purpose of providing health services, especially for the people of Bhaktapur and the adjoining districts at minimal cost. The 50-bed hospital has been providing preventive, curative, promotive and rehabilitative services to patients. It had extended free treatment to over 3,500 quake victims in the wake of the devastating earthquake last April and its aftershocks, hospital officials said, adding that the quake victims and their kin were also provided free food for over a month.
On the occasion, Nepal Army, Nepal Police, Bright Nepal Mahdayapur Youth Club were felicitated for their active participation in rescue and reconstruction works.
