Many houses suffer massive damages in Bhaktapur, 198 left injured
Most of the houses at Madhyapur Thimi area in Bhaktapur district suffered massive damages from the Tuesday's 7.4 magnitude earthquake that struck the country.The Kathmandu-Bhaktapur road section was disrupted, following the collapses of two houses at Bahakha Bazaar. Jeeb Chitrakar and his brother lost their houses to the powerful aftershock. Likewise, Surkaji Chakradhar and Krishnalal Chakradhar of Garcha Tole have been rendered homeless, according to Police Inspector Yadav Dhakal.
Over 100 houses in Bhaktapur have suffered damages in the quake whereas as many as 198 have been injured and they are being treated at the Bhaktapur Hospital and Nepal-Korea Friendship Hospital. Further details of the damages are awaited.
The houses that were badly damaged after the April 25 devastating earthquake turned into rubble from the today's quake.
Likewise, as least 105 have been injured from the earthquake in Kavre district. The injured are undergoing treatment at Dhulikhel Hospital and the Banepa-based Sheer Memorial Hospital. Details of the damages in the district are awaited. RSS
