Subedi reelected NSJF president

Durga Nath Subedi was reelected as the president of Nepal Sports Journalist Forum (NSJF), the umbrella association of Nepali sports journalists, on Wednesday.
Subedi defeated his rival Prakash Timalsina in the NSJF’s 17th annual general assembly and electoral congress in Kathmandu. Subedi garnered 59 votes while Timalsina obtained 33 votes.
Niranjan Adhikari was elected as the first vice-president unopposed. Gobinda Regi and Sanjeev Silpakar were also unchallenged in the election for vice-presidents.
Prajwal Oli was also unanimously reelected as the general secretary. Anjan Khadka and Sujan Shrestha were also unopposed in the race for the positions of secretary and treasurer, respectively.
Anil Malla Thakuri, Kushal Timalsina and Nisan Rai were elected as NSFJ members while Muna Karki was elected as a member in the women’s quota. Thakuri received 68 votes, Timalsina 53, and Rai got 65 votes while Sanjeev Kumar Shah was on the losing side with 29 votes.
Karki’s rival Laxmi GC got 31 votes.
A total of 94 votes were cast in the electoral congress.
