Kathmandu

Andhikhola Sports Club of Syangja claimed the Nayabazar Cup National Open volleyball tournament title on Saturday. Andhikhola beat Tribhuvan Army Club 25-17, 25-17, 24-26, 25-14 in the final.

Andhikhola earned Rs 175,111 and Army team received Rs 90,111. Binit Kumar of Andhikhola was declared the best player while Sup Rao was named best blocker, Sudip Thapa the best defender and Raj Kumar Gurung the best defender.

Army’s Man Bahadur Shrestha won the best spiker award and his teammate and Dil Sunar the best server honour. Nepal Police Club’s Im Rana won the best setter accolade. (PR)
