In the quarter-finals, Bajracharya defeated Renjen Lama 6-3, 57, 6-2 and Khanal rallied from a set down to beat Sakshyam Karki 5-7, 6-2, 6-4. Twin Rana sisters Mayanka and Mahika set the championship clash in the girls’ age-group category. Mayanka beat Bijisha Shrestha 6-0, 6-2 and Mahika eased to a 6-1, 6-2 victory over Bibhuti Karki.
Samyak Bhushan Bajracharya and Prashant Basnet made it to the U-14 boys’ singles quarter-finals. Samyak routed Chabi Lal Raut 6-1, 6-3 and Basnet saw off Pramod Budhathoki 6-0, 6-1. In other matches, Swaraj KC inflicted a double bagel to Sarwartha Pradhan, Abhinav Acharya laboured to a 6-7, 6-3, 6-0 victory over Prasiddha Panjiyar, Saharsha Chand dispatched Bishesh Joshi 6-3, 6-1, Piyush Singh eased past Ninbam Rai 6-0, 6-1, Binaya Batas overcame Umesh Yadav 6-3, 6-1 and Adit Subedi edged Dipesh KC 4-6, 6-2, 6-3.
Ishasri Shah hammered Aja Regmi 8-1 and Reyna Shah edged Sista Rai 8-5 to enter U-10 girls’ singles final. Likewise, Aryan Giri routed Rijan Shrestha 8-1, Aarav Hada dispatched Ranav Singh 8-1, Aki Raut humbled Chirag Timalsina 8-0 and Aditya Subedi sneaked past Aayush Paudel 8-5 to enter the semi-finals in the boys’ section of the age category.
In the U-10 boys’ doubles, Sohan Khadka and Pramod Budhathoki entered the semi-finals defeating Prasiddha and Aayushman 6-4, 6-4. Aja Regmi and Aaisha Gurung entered the U-9 girls’ singles final with Ranav Singh, Rijan Shrestha and Pranav Manandar making to the boys’ last four. Prasiddha Basnet and Eva Adhikari won the U-8 singles gold medals. Basnet defeated Pranav Manandhar 10-5, 6-10, 10-3 in the boys’ final and Adhikari prevailed over Smriddhi Shrestha 10-6, 8-10, 10-2 in the girls’ gold medal match.
