A Nepal Police head constable was killed in a road accident in Sukrauli, Nawalparasi West, on Monday evening.
Head Constable Churamani Bhattarai died after his motorcycle was struck by a truck in ward 15 of Ramgram Municipality along the Postal Highway.
According to the police, Bhattarai, a resident of ward 13 in Sunwal Municipality, sustained severe injuries in the crash and succumbed to his injuries during treatment.
Following the accident, locals briefly blocked the highway in protest.
