Auto driver murders two women in Ghorahi

Police arrested an auto driver on charge of murdering two women in Pahelpar of Ghorahi Sub-metropolitan City on Saturday.
According to Superintendent of Police Ram Bahadur KC, 58-year-old Tek Bahadur Gharti allegedly assaulted Sangita Sunar, 44, and Jupali Budha, 50 with an axe.
Gharti regularly dropped the women off at their homes but had not been paid for a long time, KC said.
As per Gharti’s preliminary statement recorded by the police, the incident occurred after the trio got into an argument about the overdue fare.
Further investigation into the matter is underway.
