Two people died in separate incidents in Manahari Rural Municipality Ward 6 of Makwanpur district.
Fifty-six-year-old Bhadra Bahadur Rai went missing after being swept away by the Rapti River on Monday. He was rescued in an injured state at Machang of Manahari.
According to the District Police Office, Rai succumbed to his injury while receiving treatment at Chitwan Medical College in Bharatpur on Thursday.
Similarly, an 18-month-old child drowned in a pond at Manahari Rural Municipality-6. The child was rushed to the hospital after being found drowned in a pond around 50 metres away from the house. The boy breathed his last on the way to Manahari Hospital, said police.
