Sindhupalchok
All seven individuals reportedly missing following a landslide in ward 3 of Jugal Rural Municipality, have been located.
Superintendent of Police Santosh Khadka of the District Police Office, Sindhupalchok, confirmed they were rescued on Monday morning.
The landslide destroyed three out of nine homes in the area.
Rescue efforts are focused on relocating affected locals to safe areas.
Food shortages have also left many residents without supplies since Saturday.
The region has been further hampered by landslides and blocked roads as even the access road earlier opened by a nearby hydropower project in Tembathan has also been disrupted.
Security personnel reached the area on Monday after a two-day trek.
