Two provincial ministers appointed from the Nepali Congress took an oath of office and secrecy on Sunday.

Chief Minister of Bagmati Province Shalikram Jamkattel appointed Congress provincial assembly members Bahadur Singh Lama and Tirtha Lama as Minister for Economic Affairs and Planning and Minister for Water, Energy and Irrigation respectively.

Bagmati Province head Yadav Chandra Sharma administered the oath to the newly appointed ministers in Hetauda.

The chief minister is yet to appoint ministers to five other ministries that remain vacant. The cabinet expansion has been delayed due to disagreement among the ruling parties over the distribution of ministries.
