Two drown in Rautahat

Two individuals drowned while taking bath in the Lamaha River in Garuda, Rautahat, on Friday.
According to Armed Police Force Superintendent Vinod Humagain, the deceased are 18-year-old Jitendra Sah and 17-year-old Rajeev Sah of the same place. They went missing while taking bath in the river near Ward 2 of Garuda Municipality.
The Armed Police, in coordination with Nepal Police and local residents, initiated a search operation immediately after receiving the report. Both were found unconscious and rescued from the river. They were rushed to the Garuda local hospital, where doctors pronounced them dead.
The bodies have been sent for post-mortem, and an investigation into the incident is underway, said Deputy Superintendent of Police Deepak Kumar Rai of the District Police Office, Rautahat.
