Police on Monday found a body of an unidentified man in Birgunj on Monday.
The body of the victim, thought to be around 50 years old, was recovered from the Sirsiya river in ward 11 of Birgunj Metropolitan City at around 3:30pm on Monday.
The body has been kept in Narayani Hospital’s mortuary and further investigation into the matter is underway.
Previously on May 7, another charred and decomposing body of a man was found in Biraje Kholcha Forest in ward 4 of Panchkhal Municipality.
The victim, whose identity is yet to be ascertained, was found tied to a tree using wires and burned. A preliminary police investigation has suggested that the man was killed more than two weeks ago.
