Madhesh Chief Minister Singh expands Cabinet
Inducts two ministers from his party into Council of Ministers.Ajit Tiwari
Madhesh Chief Minister Satish Kumar Singh expanded his Cabinet on Sunday, inducting two ministers from his Janamat Party.
Tribhuvan Sah, elected from Siraha-4 (1), and Sakil Miya, elected from Saptari-1 (1), have been appointed as ministers. Sah has been assigned to the Ministry of Forest and Environment while Miya was sworn-in as a minister without portfolio.
Province Head Sumitra Subedi Bhandari administered the oath of office and secrecy to the newly appointed ministers.
Meanwhile, Ranju Mandal Khang, who was sworn-in as a state minister without a portfolio on Friday, has been deputed to the forest ministry.
Janamat Party lawmaker Singh was appointed the chief minister on Friday. He assumed the office and formed a 14-member Cabinet later in the day. Of them, three are ministers of state.
