A headless corpse of an unknown woman was found near the Imriti river bridge of the Postal Highway at ward 4 of Jirabhawani Rural Municipality on Tuesday night.

According to Deputy Superintendent of Police Dipak Giri, information officer at the District Police Office, the body was found 200 metres away from the bridge at around 7pm on Tuesday.

Police have yet to identify who the woman was.

Further investigation is going on, and efforts are being made to find the head of the woman and her identity, said Giri.
