One killed in Rautahat knife attackA fifty-year-old man died after being stabbed by his neighbour following a verbal argument.
A man was stabbed to death in Gaur Municipality-7 of Rautahat district late on Friday.
Fifty-year-old Yad Mohammad Khan was killed after his neighbour Sheikh Kabir attacked him with a knife.
The Sisawa village locals had engaged in a verbal argument at around 10pm on Friday following which Kabir had stabbed Khan in the stomach.
According to the Gaur District Police Office, the victim, who had sustained injuries to his abdomen and chest, was immediately rushed to the Province Hospital where he was pronounced dead.
The accused fled the scene before the police arrived, said Police Inspector Bindeshwar Yadav.
The body of the deceased will be handed to his family after the postmortem, police said.
Police are on the lookout for the accused while further investigation into the matter is ongoing.
