CPN-UML candidate Suhang Nembang has taken an early lead in Ilam-2 as vote counting continues following Thursday’s parliamentary elections.
According to the initial count, Nembang has secured 491 votes, while Sudip Rai of the Shram Sanskriti Party is close behind with 443 votes.
Nepali Congress candidate Bhesraj Acharya has received 210 votes, followed by Rastriya Swatantra Party candidate Gokul Rai with 171 votes.
Om Gurung of the Nepali Communist Party has secured 51 votes.
