RSP unveils election schedule for first general convention leadership vote

The Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) has published the election schedule for the selection of its central leadership during its first general convention.
The party’s central election commission released the schedule on Sunday.
According to the schedule, the preliminary list of convention delegates has already been published. Claims and objections against the list can be filed until 9am on Monday, with the final list to be published by 10am the same day.
The party’s election commission will begin distributing nomination forms at 1pm on Monday. Candidates can file their nominations between 2pm and 4pm. A preliminary list of candidates will be published at 6pm, followed by a one-hour window until 7pm for filing claims and objections.
The commission will examine the claims and objections between 7pm and 9pm. Candidates may withdraw their nominations until 9:15pm, while the final list of candidates will be published at 11pm.
According to the schedule, a silence period will be observed from 7am to 8:30am on Tuesday. Voting for the posts of party chair, office-bearers and central committee members will take place from 8:30am to 3pm.
Vote counting will begin two hours after polling ends, with results to be announced thereafter. Paty’s central election commission chief Bhuwan KC said the schedule for any second-round election, if required, would be announced later.
