The British College secures BAC re-accreditation until 2030
UK quality body reaffirms compliance after comprehensive institutional review, the college says.Post Report
The British Accreditation Council has re-accredited The British College Kathmandu, extending its certification until May 30, 2030, following a full institutional inspection covering academic and operational standards.
The BAC, one of the UK’s independent quality assurance bodies for further and higher education, assessed governance, teaching quality, student support, learning resources, facilities, and graduate outcomes before renewing the accreditation.
According to the college, the inspection reviewed all major functions, including academic management, quality assurance systems, and student services. BAC accreditation is subject to ongoing monitoring and periodic reassessments throughout the validity period.
The British College said the renewal confirms its compliance with internationally recognised standards and strengthens its position within global higher education networks.
Declan P. Bannon, academic dean at the college, said the accreditation reflects the strength of academic systems and the commitment of faculty and staff, adding that it reassures students and parents about quality standards.
BAC Deputy Chief Executive Lucy Fox said the institution had undergone a rigorous independent assessment and maintained clear standards in academic management, governance, and student welfare.
Chief Executive Officer and Founder Rajen Kandel described the recognition as a milestone for Nepal’s higher education sector, saying the institution would continue adopting international best practices.
The college, part of the British Education Group, offers UK-affiliated degree programmes and industry-linked learning models. It has held BAC accreditation since 2021.
