Elderly woman dies of electrocution

An octogenarian woman died after being electrocuted in Gujara-1, Manaharwa of Rautahat district on Sunday.
According to the District Police Office in Gaur, 84-year-old Kanchhidevi Chaudhary sustained a fatal electric shock while attempting to fetch water from a tap connected to an electric motor.
The deceased had been staying at the residence of her son-in-law, Lal Bihari Chaudhary, in Chandrapur-8. Police reported that she was immediately rushed to Chandrapur Hospital Pvt Ltd for treatment, where she later succumbed to her injuries.
Deputy Superintendent of Police Bishnu Pradip Basyal stated that an investigation into the incident is currently underway.
The body has been handed over to her son, Jokhan Chaudhary, for the final rites.
