Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) senior leader Balendra Shah has extended his lead in Jhapa-5 as vote counting continues following Thursday’s parliamentary elections.
Shah has secured 13,654 votes, leading CPN-UML chairman KP Sharma Oli by 10,643 votes, who received 3,011 votes. Samir Tamang of the Shram Sanskriti Party is in third place with 1,517 votes.
Vote counting is ongoing, and Shah remains on track for a decisive victory.
