A 24-year-old election policeman was killed in a hit-and-run in ward 4 of Hetauda Sub-Metropolitan City, Makawanpur.
Pawan Kumar Sah, from Vijaypur, Rautahat, was cycling towards Pashupatinagar when he was struck by a vehicle coming from Birgunj. He was taken to Chitwan Medical College but died during treatment, the District Police Office, Makawanpur, said.
Sah had been posted at the Pashupatinagar police office. Police have impounded the vehicle and taken the driver into custody.
