15 killed in road accidents in Ramechhap within month

As many as 15 people were killed and three others went missing in five separate road accidents in Ramechhap district over the past month.
According to Police Inspector Rajan Prasad Timsina of the District Police Office, Ramechhap, the accidents occurred during the Nepali month of Magh (mid-January to mid-February). In addition to the fatalities, nine people were injured in the incidents.
Meanwhile, the body of a nine-year-old boy who went missing after a passenger bus plunged near Benighat bridge in ward 6 of Manthali Municipality a week ago has been recovered.
The accident had left three people missing: eight-year-old Ronish Tamang of ward 7 of Likhu Tamakoshi Rural Municipality, nine-year-old Krichan Tamang of ward 2 of Manthali Municipality, and 24-year-old Bishal Sunuwar of ward 6 of Umakunda Rural Municipality.
Police said Krichan’s body was found seven days after the crash on the bank of the Tamakoshi river below Tallokhurkot Bazar in Sindhuli. Search operations are ongoing for the remaining two missing persons.
