Rupesh Shrestha has been appointed news chief at Kantipur Television.
Shrestha was appointed on Monday following a decision by the KMG management committee. He had been serving as the acting news chief since early October.
Kantipur Media Group Managing Director Sambhav Sirohiya said Shrestha’s leadership would help steer the newsroom in a changing media environment and take Kantipur Television to new heights.
Active in journalism for more than two decades, Shrestha has worked in various roles at Kantipur Television and other media outlets. He is also the host of the popular talk show Fireside and holds a master’s degree in journalism and mass communication.
