Five killed, 12 injured in bus accident in Dharan

Five people were killed on the spot and 12 others injured after a bus met with an accident at Zero Point in Dharan on Sunday afternoon.
The accident occurred at around 4.15 pm along the Koshi Highway in Dharan Sub-Metropolitan City–13. The bus, bearing the name International Times Academy, was travelling from Bhedetar to Dharan when it went out of control and crashed.
Superintendent of police Keshav Thebe, chief of Sunsari Police, said that the bus rammed into a shutter near the Shri Krishna Pranami Temple, killing five passengers instantly. The identities of the deceased have yet to be established.
The injured were rushed to the BP Koirala Institute of Health Sciences in Dharan for treatment, police said.
Police are investigating for details.
