Monsoon-induced disasters kill 39 across country
Koshi province reports 36 deaths, three killed in Madhesh.

The death toll from monsoon-related disasters since Friday has reached 39, according to the Armed Police Force Headquarters in Kathmandu. Of the total, 36 fatalities were reported in Koshi Province and three in Madhesh.
Across the country, 11 people remain missing and 13 others have been injured. Landslides in Ilam claimed 27 lives, with five still missing. In Udayapur, floods and landslides killed two and injured one.
In Khotang, a lightning strike killed one person and injured three. Two others were injured by lightning in Bhojpur.
In Madhesh, three people died in Rautahat due to lightning. Elsewhere, one person died in Bara, four in Rasuwa, and one in Kathmandu after being swept away by rivers. In Makwanpur, one person was injured by lightning.
