Two 17-year-old boys died in a tractor accident in Bagahi, ward 28 of Birgunj Metropolitan City, on Friday afternoon.
According to locals, the deceased are Akash Patel, son of Panna Patel, and Golu Patel, son of Rajesh Patel, both residents of Bagahi village. Deputy Superintendent of Police Subash Bhatt of the District Police Office, Parsa, said the tractor, which had no visible number plate, was returning from the Bhedaha River with a load of soil when it went out of control around 2pm and fell 15 feet off the road.
The vehicle overturned and trapped Aakash, the driver, and Golu, seriously injuring them.
Doctors at Narayani Hospital declared the duo dead at around 3:15pm.
