Embassy asks Nepalis to remain calm and follow official instructions amid regional tensions.

The Nepali Embassy in Qatar on Monday night issued a notice urging all Nepali nationals residing in the Gulf state to remain alert and comply with the Qatari government’s instructions, following an Iranian missile attack on a US military base in Qatar.
The embassy’s statement came hours after Iran launched missiles at the Al Udeid Air Base outside Doha, in retaliation for a joint US-Israeli strike on its nuclear facilities. “We appeal to all Nepali brothers and sisters in Qatar to remain calm and to follow the official instructions issued by the Qatari government,” read the embassy’s notice. “The Embassy of Nepal in Doha stands firmly with all Nepalis residing in Qatar.”
According to Reuters, Iran fired several missiles at the Al Udeid base. The Qatari defence system reportedly intercepted the projectiles, and no casualties or damage were reported. The Iranian government claimed the attack was a “limited and calculated” response to what it called an unjustified violation of its sovereignty by the US and Israel.
Qatar condemned the Iranian strike as a breach of its territorial security but confirmed that the situation was under control. Meanwhile, international observers have expressed concern over the rising tensions in the Gulf, with the potential for further escalation.
There are tens of thousands of Nepali migrant workers in Qatar, many of whom live and work in areas not far from the Al Udeid base. The embassy has not issued any evacuation orders but said it is monitoring the situation closely.
