Finance Minister Wagle to visit India on September 17-18

Finance Minister Swarnim Wagle will visit India on September 17–18 at the invitation of his Indian counterpart Nirmala Sitharaman, Indian Ambassador to Nepal Naveen Srivastava said on Monday.
Wagle will discuss Nepal-India economic cooperation and post-disaster reconstruction during his two-day visit, according to Srivastava. The visit will be the first high-level trip from Nepal since the devastating floods of August 26 that killed 1,388 people and destroyed property worth around $ 4.75 billion in three districts.
During his stay in New Delhi, Wagle is also scheduled to meet Indian External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar and Commerce and Industry Minister Piyush Goyal.
Wagle will also address an event organised by the Confederation of Indian Industry and deliver a lecture at the Delhi School of Economics.
The visit comes as Nepal steps up efforts to seek international support for reconstruction and recovery.
