Two people died in a motorcycle accident that occurred at around 12:30am on Sunday in Lalasingh Chowk in ward 8 of Madhuwan Municipality, Bardiya.
According to the District Police Office, Bardiya, 28-year-old Dewanand Yadav and Tanka Bahadur BC, both from ward 2 of Gulariya Municipality, were killed after the motorcycles they were riding collided head-on.
The crash left both riders and one pillion rider injured.
All three were rushed to Bardiya Hospital for treatment, where Yadav and BC succumbed to their injuries during treatment.
Deputy Superintendent of Police Chakra Bahadur Damarpal said Anupam Yadav, 32, who was riding pillion with Dewanand, was referred to Nepalgunj for further treatment.
